Hi All, Here is a web site that shows MPGs for almost all cars. According to fueleconomy.gov, '86 Vanagon 2.1, 2wheel drive is supposed to give 15-17mpg. Mine has ranged between 21-25mpg. Why is that? Is that good or bad (for the van)? I am not the easiest driver on our cars... just got a ticket at 94mph ... but I take good care of them (the cars, that is!). http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/bymodel/bymakemodelNF.shtml http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/bymodel/1986_Volkswagen_Vanagon.shtml geo Have a great Labor Day!
