Be aware that Ham operators hate CBers, especially if they use power amps.
Let's not get into a fight for that. I have several 1200 watt PEP solid
state HF power amps. They operate out of 220v AC. I do not intend to get
myself into trouble. So my CB stays clear of them always. They have 10/11
meter coverage in them. Most power amps have the 11 meter band blocked.
They need 50 watt drive so my CB can't drive them anyway.
I always bring a few CB walkie talkie in my camping trips. At the camp site
my CB radio became a central station when some kids took the walkie taklie
out and went for hiking. Walkie talkies are only good for a mile or so.
