Hi, I have one of the Eberspaecher B1L heaters for sale. these are gasoline heaters that take the fuel from the main fuel tank. This particular unit came out of a german eurovan, so it is the steel version with the outlets correctly placed for installation in a vanagon. Being the eurovan version, it is newer then buying it from a vanagon. Therefore you will slightly have to modify the mounting brackets, but this is not a big deal. The whole unit installs under the van, on the opposite side of the van than the propane tank. from there you just run ducting inside underneath the rear bench. I just tested the unit, it runs perfectly, is thermostat controlled, and your only option to heat the van without giving up much storage space. Especially the gas version of this heater is rare, you can basically only get it on ebay germany, and then you will have to deal with paying, shipping and import brokerage. I just went through all of this ( a little easier because i grew up in germany) and really want to install it in my own van, but need some money now. I am asking $680 plus shipping. Sorry for crossposting to two lists. Florian in Berkeley |
