Cool.

A small radio would be great. I currently use an AM/FM Sony cheap walkman thing. Great for saving on battery power, and perfect for tuning into some good local tunes or ?? with a beer beside the fire. I always enjoy tuning into what I can find "locally".

I find it interesting, when reception on AM limited, to hear just how strong the sports, religious and talk stations are, and how weak the remainder are. The Grundig would likely pull in the weaker AM stations better. And as a bonus, I could switch to SW and fall asleep to the "Co-ordinated Universal Time" clock.

They still got that on shortwave no? --- ;^)

Neil.
