I use a heat gun on the hoses , to soften them up, 'off the reservoir' though. As for when the Fluid might ignite - you better not get anywhere near that temp .... I'd think things would be melting way before the fluid would catch on fire.

What's a 'purple K' fire extinguisher ? got a link ? Scott

All, Have any of you come up with a good way to get the hose back ON the PS resevoir? I previously did a fluid flush, took one out(had to slice the lines with a razor blade to get the hoses off-might have been my undoing), cleaned it out (and off), replaced the filter, and when I went to put the lines back on (for a customer) It almost killed me! I thought getting the hoses off was hard but that was nothing! I swore I was going to break it I was pushing so hard. I should have tried some soapy water or WD-40 but..... Anybody got any idea's or experience to share? I was a little hesitant about using a heat gun as I felt the reservoir would go soft before the lines and I was unsure at what temp the fluid "could" ignite. I didn't need anymore excitement regardless of the fact I have not one but two "purple-k" fire extinguishers in the shop just for that reason.

Thanks,

TJ 87 Wolfie
