Actually, I'd prefer to forget my first bus. On the same (it's last) cross-country trip, it dropped a valve in Des Moines (replaced head and cylinder beside Quikmart), then again in Detroit (different head). I wasn't driving, driver didn't stop very quickly ("what's that noise!") Broken crank.

Took plates, hitched to Boston to start my new life there.

Now, I've loved my 2nd-7th busses so far. Only one ever left me stuck, and that's the newest one ('87 Syncro), and I was only a mile from home.
