Hey Cecil,

  there is a list, a Yahoo group I think, called the Cabriolet list..I have
one of the 8 valve motors in my vanagon, a 92.  It's good.  Nothing weird,
no weak points on that kinda motor, from what I read and my own experience.
Do a google search for Bently and they too have a list dealing with inline
four VWs.  I use a generic antifreeze..heck a whole 'new' motor can be had
for the price of a few gallons of  Dextron....(grin)
