A few months ago I took my water pump off from my 83 and installed it on my 84. I did not use any sealant. I reused the o-ring. The original pump on the 84 was dead and tossed.

A week later I received the new one I ordered. It was then installed on the 83. I did not use any sealant either. I had a new o-ring on it.

So far there isn't any leak I could detect.

David
