Just teasing - What's worse than a triumph spitfire ? Two.

Well, ' congrats' on your fine new acquisition. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy, but have fun. Shouldn't be hard to ascertain pretty easily if won't start from a fuel issue, or ignition, or a mechanical engine issue. They're not complicated, just diabolical. You'll see. Scott

Since its off topic Fryeday I was wondering if anyone on the list is reasonable familiar with late 70's Triumph Spitfires and or knows which of the Forums I find when Googling would best be able to provide useful mechanical information about them. It seems that I am acquiring a `79 Spitfire that is in decent shape(last time I saw it anyway) but will not start at the moment. Thankfully the price is right(free) and I do have storage space for the winter months.

For official Vanagon content, I will be towing it home(one mile) behind my Westy Syncro as soon as I finish putting the new front rotors on the Westy.

TIA,

Mark in AK
