dear kai
this is a relatively low price for a machine of any vintage ...
but i would really feel uncomfortable if i thought you were incapable and
had purchased this van with out any ability to fix it ...
money not with standing ...
kai i have never until now owned a vehicle worth more than 500$
my 89 diesel westfalia was expensive for me ...
yet all those vehicles i bought for 500 or less had one thing in common...
I could fix them myself or knew the mechanics who could help me understand
what to do next
regarding this van you are thinking of ...
the description says the through out bearing is making noise...
which will mean a clutch job sometime in the future ... (who can tell when)
the big question is ...
Kai can you do it yourself or do you have a pal who can help you do it ...
it is simple ... the bently manual can tell you how ...
but you will require parts...
good luck .. simply a word of caution
myself i would grab the vehicle as is ...
simply because i have the resource with in self and friends to repair
my friends have been one of the great blessings in my life...
yours

There are two kinds of jobs in the world:
Picking up garbage and telling people things.
Successful people do both, with the same good attitude. (riw)
