no flat four in VW's plans, that was a mis-reading by the jalopnik staff. The original press release mentioned the historic flat four engine and that was picked up as flat 4 coming in new models. see original quote: ...The heart of this sensationally flexible City Expert will beat where the flat-four "Boxer" engine once did in the Beetle. ..."
