I agree.

This has been pointed out before, but more problems than success stories tend to be posted on conversion (and other) email lists.

And a SC on a 1.8? Wow! My gut feeling is that it might take "life" out of the engine prematurely.

Just my tres "shady tree" mechanical .02 :)
