Greg, I started with a 2wd, put in a syncro tranny, only 2" higher, put in syncro springs with long travel shocks. So the setup is equivalent to a syncro with 2 inch lift. Maybe the stock CV's are still good enough for this, I don't know. I should have measured the angle at full extension, I guess. Because I have a 2wd with diff lock and go places with it, I use the lock quite often and the thing doesn't always release fast enough for my taste. Then it puts a lot of strain on the axles and joints. I thought initially the 924 joints would be stronger. That's why I got one to check it out. Now I'm not so sure anymore that it's worth it. BTW one axle end looks like someone has mangled / peened it a bit before. I got the joint to move a little but I can't pull it off. I guess I need a bigger press or maybe heat it up a little. Anyone have a tip for cv's stuck on the splines?
