According to http://www.924.org/parts/parts.htm , 924 CV joints _are_
bus joints (113 501 331D), but the p/n given is for a Type 4 joint. I
think they're confused. According to
http://www.doghouserepair.com/mall/description.php?ItemID=7824 , that
part number uses 0.6875" diameter balls.

VW changed the balls in the Bus/Vanagon CV joints from 0.750" (19.04mm)
to 20mm with p/n 251 598 101 in 12/1984 (see tech bulletin 87-01 @
http://www.vanagonparts.com/tech_bulletins.html ) VW no longer lists
the .750 joint, it is the 20mm joint that VW now lists as a replacement
for the older breadloaves and Vanagons, too.
