I agree: this bilateral asymmetry seems to either point at two clogged injectors on one side, or something leaky with air on one side.

A few months ago I found a leak on the rich side and tightened that down. No leak found on the lean side. So, near as I can tell, neither side presently has a leak.

What's a really good way to be sure?

The O2 sensor receives exhaust from both sides and the ECU will adjust the mixture for an average reading. If one side is running rich (like my left side) then the ECU will compensate by leaning out the overall mixture, causing the right side to be too lean. This, according to my theory. The plugs on the what-should-therefore-be-lean side look like plugs should look. On the rich side they look a bit black and sooty.
