Yes..that's the whole problem. I'm trying to mount it someplace where there's no direct sunlight, no UV accumulation, no engine heat, no headlight heat, no heater hose heat, and yet outside to measure ambient temps. On top of that, someplace where I won't knock it off on a stump or a rock, and someplace where it isn't getting winter rain and snow full blast. Dumb little problem, but there it is. On Saabs the OEM sensor mounts conveniently above the driver side air dam, but we don't have any real place like that. |
