Hi Gilles, Can you be more specific? Is this a 12-volt fluorescent lamp or a household current lamp? Is the lamp to be mounted someplace in the van, or on a long wire so you can move it around? Is the aux battery in the normal location (under the driver seat)? Do you know how to do wiring? I have heard that The Boatowner's Illustrated Electrical Handbook by Charlie Wing (ISBN-10: 0071446443, ISBN-13: 978-0071446440) is quite good. I just added that to the Vanagonwiki in the Electrical section (http://vanagonwiki.net/index.php/Electrical) -- if anyone has other good books about 12-volt wiring practices they are encouraged to go to the wiki and add those titles to the Books about 12 Volt Wiring page. -- Mike "Rocket J Squirrel" Elliott 71 Type 2: the Wonderbus 84 Westfalia: Mellow Yellow ("The Electrical Banana") 74 Utility Trailer.
