David, don't be so hard on yourself...
OK, you made a mistake, but it could happen to anyone in the heat of
an argument, jumping to conclusions, especially since indeed this
tactic of multiple web personalities for bashing on the Internet is
not unheard of (happily not in this case though).
And you weren't the only one adding fuel to the fire...
I for one admire you for immediately apologizing and admitting your mistake.
Now get on with it, learn from your mistake and continue with your
great contributions to the list. I really don't want to miss you on
this list.
The same goes for your "opponent", Mike S.
Mike, be a great man and say you forgive...and then both of you can
start afresh and continue contributing to this list - I enjoyed the
LED discussion until it turned into a head bashing...:-) (truth is,
BOTH of you had a point!).
And I'm sure many of you (Jewish or not) listees know that this SAT is
Yom Kipur, the most holy day for the Jews, where the main issue is
forgiveness.
How about jumping in on the opportunity?...
