I was traveling north on the bucolic Garden State Parkway last Sunday when I thought I spotted a Vanagon up ahead in the distance. Could it be? Months go by between sitings around here, so it's really a special event for me. Yes, it was! But not just any Vanagon, it was a Transporter (commercial panel van type) and a raised Syncro to boot. I think it had a stainles steel or chromed exhaust, really cool looking. It was painted a matte olive green with "Darkstar Woodworking" signage along the sides of an equally cool looking roof rack. Does this beauty belong to anyone on the list or can anyone put me in touch with this owner? I tried searching "Darkstar Woodworking" with no luck. I'd really like to at least talk to you, maybe look at what you've done person. There are so few of us here on the East Coast. Did I mention I was a carpenter also? Steve '87 Syncro GL "Rusty" PS I was driving a 99 Mercury Sable at the time (sigh).
