I'm not sure of a source for a 1.9...but http://www.vwdieselparts.com is
selling turnkey 1.6 diesels for $2295, which includes the following:
* 1-Head
2-Injection Pump
3-Injectors
4-Glow Plugs
5-All Gears
6-Timing Belt
7-Motor Timed
8-Injection Pump Timed*If you buddy was ok with the 1.6 before, he'll surely
be happy with a freshly rebuilt one...
