Mike, I tried that Bentley test on my AAR and it had no effect, either. Replaced AAR with known good just to be sure, no effect. Van runs ok. A Vanagon mech here (who gave me the replacement) told me "they never go bad." They're easy to test using the stovetop n' freezer method. If your idle switch is telling the ECU to run lean when the engine is above idle (screw too far out) that will kill your power when accelerating from a dead stop, but you'll still have normal power when at speed. Try turning the idle switch adjustment screw in 1/4 turn and see if that helps. Maybe 1/2 turn. Geza |
