Since I installed a new alternator, my gas gauge is much more accurate, it seems. Before, it would go from almost full to about 1/3 after just 75 miles, then sit there till about 150 miles(on the odo after filling up) At about 200 miles run on a full tank, it would go into the red zone, the reserve..and I would still be able to drive about 130 miles before I needed to even think about fuel... Now, at about 290 miles driven, I am just at the top of the red...about where it should be... What a pleasant surprise when something you didn't try to fix fixes itself during a different repair.
