A follow-up question to the post discussing current improvements to the Tiico package which reduce/eliminate the vibration problem. I am contemplating an engine conversion for my '91, still looking over all of the possibilities. This week I ran into a Vanagon enthusiast, who seems to have a lot of experience and is mechanically inclined. He stated that he had ridden in and driven 2 (or 3) Tiico converted vans and that the whine just drove him crazy, so... he will be saving up his shekels for a 2.2 Subaru conversion. Any comments? Can recent convertees to Tiico report on their aural experiences?
