Robyn,

I've had one in my 87 Westfalia for about 5 years or so. The installation takes about an hour - hour and a half. On the later Vanagons, the sides of the tray need to be notched to clear the raised section on the original dash. You will need to get 4 2" screws to attach the unit to the dash.
