I had a 1971 Bay with a giant sunroof - we used a fish tape and compressed air blasts. Typically the mechanism gets cranky and the roof is left cracked...... then leavage and stems fall into the drains and gum it up. You might start at the bottom and work up, letting the crud fall out with gravity. As I recall, there were metal stubs at the top and tubes (rubber hoses?) somewhere in there passing down through the B and C pillars, and exiting out the bottom.

i used a long coathanger wire and then a pressurized water hose to clean them out.
