Yeah, "back in the day" (late 70s before the Sherwood/Old Volks Home days) I worked at a foreign car parts store in LA's San Gabriel Valley and we were clued in by a Bosch rep friend of mine about the interchangeability of the fuel injectors, as Bosch supplied the Datsun/Nissan factory the FI components. We were the only people selling injectors into the early 80s to 280Z owners at a much lower price that the local dealerships who were baffled as to why I could sell 'em so cheap (at the time). Sometimes, the dealers would buy 'em from me rather than through their supply depots.

Over the years since then when a VW customer would comment on one his/her other cars they were working on and it happened to be a 280Z that needed injectors, they were happy to be able get 'em from me and not pay the outrageous price at the dealership. -- Jim Thompson 84 GL 1.9 "Gloria" 84 Westfalia 2.1 "Ole Putt" 73 K Ghia Coupe "Denise" 72 411 Station Wagon "Pug" oldvolkshome@gmail.com http://www.oldvolkshome.com *********************************** On 9/26/07, Todd Last <rubatoguy@comcast.net> wrote: > > Wow - what a great comment on the range of flow the injector must have if > it works in a 77 VW beetle and a 280Z ! > A pretty large difference in engines in those two. > > Todd > '88 Westy > > > > -------------- Original message ---------------------- > From: Old Volks Home <oldvolkshome@GMAIL.COM> > > 022 906 031B was superseded to 023 906 031 (Bosch 028 150 116) on Feb > 28, > > 1977.
