Mike, I would suspect air leaks are coming from someplace other than the intake manifold. I probably have some leaks on one or more of the tubes or fittings that connect to intake manifold on my 1.9, but engine performs as I expect it should. If we could get all new hoses and fittings, we could probably make things tighter but does it really matter as long as engine does not run too lean?
