If it doesn't ping under load or acceleration, the fuel octane is adequate. Using higher octane than you need has almost no benefit. Scott Turbovans.com

Gentlemen.

I was reading on the www somewhere that I should run high test in my '85 1.9 Wasserboxer GL and DOKA four speeds. Should I switch or continue to run regular with an octane of 87. High test has octane of 91 or 92 in my area.

Your thoughts & experience appreciated.
