Subject: Buzzy inline 4 from Tiico
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="Windows-1252"

It must be a Tiico thing, the buzzy 4 syndrome. The one I have, a stock cabriolet 1.8 liter, is not buzzy at all. In fact, I have always wondered where that perception came from. I have not ridden or driven a Tiico, but my standard VW is as quiet as a "mouse". Yah, you have to wind the pi** out of it to make any speed, but what the heck can you expect when you're moving a 4000lb, 6' tall shoebox down the road at 70-80mph with less than two liters of displacement? I bet if you stuck a 3 liter 968 Porsche inline 4 in there, you would probably perceive it to be just "loafing along" (no pun?) Someone should stick two hardly Davidson "motors" into a van...How cool would that be? You could have a little more horsepower than a stock van, but you could make it really LOUD and maybe dress up in a leather leisure suit to drive it.. friday, don'tcha know. Don Hanson
