When I measured mine in May it read 2907 ohms, if I'm reading my notes correctly. All the dist.-to-plug wires were over 5,000 ohms. However, I can't say what importance this would have to the way your van runs, and I doubt it would have anything to do with mpg.

If in doubt, replace. I also soldered the ends on mine as the ones that come with the wires tend to fall off when you pull them out. That seemed like a potential failure point, the kind that pops up when you're in places like...Alturas. Soldering them might also decrease the resistance.
