<Are the power door locks "LA Riot gear equipped?" That's what we call them here in the midwest when they automatically lock as you start to drive off> There are after market alarm systems that do this, wires into your existing power door locks. Years ago I stopped at an Acura dealer to look at a '91 Mustang convertible. It was in January, it was about 5 degrees outside, and the dealer was closing in 10 minutes. the salesman got the keys and I started it up. I didn't realize it, but when I did the doors locked. The hood was up, and the salesman said "come look at this engine" (it was highly modified) and as I got out I shut the door-oooppps! The car was now locked, with the engine running! Stock '91 Mustangs did not do this-it was equipped with an alarm system that locked the doors when the engine was started. I left, leaving behind a very p*ssed off salesman and manager who I'm sure were anxious to go home! Jeff |
