I converted my '85 1.9 last year, and I had a few problems at first (the first engine had a cracked head out of the crate), but it's been great since. I don't find it buzzy, and it's a lot more powerful (obviously) than the old engine.

I like it. I had the work done by Stephan's Autohaus, and he prefers the Tiico to the Subaru. Of course, he prefers his 1.8T to both of them :o)
