Tim, You can actually get away with not putting in the 3rd screw in the Vanagon power mirrors. At worse, you just need to install a single nutsert, screw, or nut depending on what you want. Power mirrors are on Ebay all the time as mirror switches. I've bought one on the Ebay as low as $25 each. They just needed painting to match my van. I'm curious about your H3 mirror install though. Would you mind pmailing me a pic of it? I seem to recall Rod Millen's Toyota race team using a Jeep Wrangler mirror on their custom widened FJ45 body over a late model Landcruiser. The installation looked pretty cool and stock looking. I was thinking something like similar would look just at home on the door of a Doka. BenT |
