Watched one episode of Made in America on History Channel one day.
It showed how automotive batteries are made in a US factory in the
East Coast. Battery fluid is filled, leak tested and charged before
shipping out. The very last step in manufacturing before packaging
is to put on various brand names on the case. Yes, there is a good
chance a battery from Costco is actually same from Wal-Mart. I had
good experience from both. The only bad experience for battery was
one I got from a VW dealer for my Vanagon. I lost my mind in buying
it. It broke my heart when I tried to claim warranty from it.
