I've got a problem After over 70,000 miles my outer cv joint bolts backed out. Five of the six simply unthreaded but the sixth under extreme physical duress snapped off. In retrospect, I should have punched the center of the broken bolt before attempting an ez out procedure. Since I didn't do this, the hole that I drilled ended up off-center and the bolt would not back out. I ended up drilling a second hole that also was off center and then trying to soak the broken piece with PB Blaster. The broken piece moved slightly but would not unthread. Does anyone have any ideas on removing the last bit? I do have new cv bolts and put five of the six back in and put the project on hold before becoming completely frustrated. I'm hoping that I won't have to disassemble the outside portion of the hub assembly and am not sure that doing so would provide any advantage. Thanks to all on the list.
