They will be the same style of chosen output methods David. Ford uses MAF
0-5 volt outputs, calibrated differently in different applications, GM
usually uses frequency output calibrated across different models for their
karman meters.. it won't matter how it's calibrated as the signaling is
wholly incompatible to begin with. It's like worrying about snow tires for a
boat, it's pointless to worry about tread patterns since boats(most boats
anyhow) don't need/have snow tires to begin with.
