Subject: dear old fulmar RIP
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII; format=flowed

after several weeks on the road this summer for work - up and down the west coast - the old fulmar (named for the seabird with the rather anti-social habit of spitting oil on its competitors which could easily cause their deaths) threw a rod and split the block (talk about spitting oil!) and needs another engine now - i am not the sort of mechanic to do this myself - so five grand for a built engine is not in the cards - though i do like my van a whole heck of a lot - so sad so sad....

now i dont have a van anymore - my sense of self is slightly shook.

anyone know where i can get a diesel synchro westie for around two thousand dollars in good condition??????hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

oh dear

monte

The West of which I speak is but another name for the Wild, and what I have been preparing to say is, that in Wildness is the preservation of the World. Every tree sends its fibers forth in search of the Wild.
