8 degrees leeway. It's apparently in the manual. That's a lot - if you're comfortable sleeping, it should be fine.

You may find references to current models spec'ing 3-6 degrees. If you look at the tubing behind the reefer, the Vanagon models have less tubing, and it's at a steeper angle than bigger, newer models.
