I would recommend the PENTOSIN blue coolant from Germany. It comes in 1.5 Liter bottles and it would take about 6 to do our vans. Way cheaper than the dealer stuff. Last I checked it was $48/gallon at the VW dealer. It cost just as much for the red coolant for the Audi and Passats. www.vanagain.com sells this at his site Part Number : ZVW237105* Category Type of Van Coolant System 86-92 2.1l Vanagon Blue Antifreeze for Waterboxer engine (Dealer recommended) 1.5l bottle. This is the real VW recommended blue coolant for the waterboxer engine. 1.5l bottle. Price: $10.00 / Bottle I could not wait for the shipping so I was able to find some locally and picked some up for about $8/bottle at the following car parts place. They normally stock 6 bottles on their shelf. You may have one in your town since they are national. Or get it from Ken at Vanagain.
