This is misleading

/though as pound for pound, the electric motor needed to replace the ICE's torque is heavy, some 600lbs. /

Actually it's about the same, but you have to have an ICE. So the total weight needed is the 265 lbs ICE plus the 50 kw elec motor at 250 lbs.
