Perhaps Mobil 1 is a favorite with the racing crowd?

I've had no problems in several engines and cumulative 300K of driving.  I started using Mobil 1 in my WBX at 124K miles and sold it with 189K miles with no engine problems.

own experience and because of the hear-say evidence that is floating around
amongst people I respect who know about motors...
