Attach the positive lead to the sensor wire, negative to ground, and when it's warmed up the meter should fluctuate around .5-.7 vdc. My experience doing this, though, is that it doesn't really tell you much except that your sensor is working. To set the mixture at the AFM (which it sounds like you need...) you have to take it to a shop with a "sniffer" and have them set both the idle air screw AND the spring inside the AFM at idle and higher rpms. I spent $50 having this done and it was the best expenditure I've made yet in terms of runnning. The AFM ain't no carburetor; you can't do it by ear--or using the DVOM.
