I have used different brand coolant system sealers and conditioners along with coolant flushes every two years for my van with wbx engines for 7 years now. I have had one water pump wear out in 5 vans. It started weeping so I changed it. I am down to just two vans with the stock wbx and they both are over 100k, 161k & 178k with original vw heads still on there first seal. My Subie vans all get the same, DexCool and a wetter/sealant. I had Evans coolant in one SVX Syncro for about 4 months, it ran very cool. Flushed it throughly and put Dex back in and it runs normal temp.

Thank you Ben !! Finally someone has used the "P" word. You are after all "The Corrupter"

I' m sure the Prestone formulation has evolved over the years to comply with manufacturing changes in the auto industry. Aluminum is common now in engines and radiators and the green stuff is advertised as SAFE for aluminum.

I've used it for most of my '91 2.1 WBX's 200,000 mile life and have no leaks or other coolant issues. -- John Meeks
