If one was using a kit originally sold by me, there would be no loss of ground clearance. Ground clearance loss or gain is a function of the forward to rear angle you install the motor at. Some people install the engine a little lower to minimize the amount of engine cover modifications that they would have to make - this would result in a loss of ground clearance.
