Man, that's worth a look, even if you don't buy the van! Uh, would you mind bringing a camera and taking a bunch of photos of what he did while you're there?

I just called a guy about a 1985 vanagon that he has for sale. He said he removed the AFM and wired in a GM mass airflow sensor. He said he now gets 26-27MPG. He indicated there is a little black smoke at startup, otherwise runs OK. Has anyone heard of this mod? What's a good price for a used AFM these days? Maybe the van will need one.
