Thanks, Mark for the tip about grounding the connector wire. I tried that with no change, then ran a ground to the T7a connector and got the dash gauge to work as you described. The problem turned out to be a bad connection on the spade connector itself. Have now soldered on a new connector and the gauge works like new. Thanks to all who responded. By the way, to those who mentioned that the Temp II sensor is blue, it isn't. On a Syncro the Temp II sensor is gray, and is the screw-in type. On a 2wd Vanagon, the Temp II sensor is blue and is the push-in clip type. Michael J |
