Michael, The location is on the front of van side of the thermostat housing (drivers side, rear of engine compartment). Get under the van at drivers rear wheel and look up, you will see it. The sender is small and brass. One wire connects to it via a female spade connector. Once you have replaced the sender, I spray a small amount of battery terminal coating on the connection to keep it sealed from road spray. While you are at it check the wire for any frays or melted areas and replace if necessary. Exhaust is close by this area and will melt a wire quickly. dylan Michael Vickey <vickrail@VELOCITY.NET> wrote: My coolant gauge quit working (intermittently) on my 90 Syncro Camper. Red LED works as it should, but no reading on the gauge. I have a new sender here in my parts box, but can't find where it goes. Bentley says red/yellow wire and a brown (ground) wire goes to it, but I can't trace the wire past the T7a connector. Anyone know where the sender goes? Thanks. |
