Here in Utah where we have the Great SALT Lake, they salt the roads in the winter also, but it is a "dry" salt that doesn't rust out our vehicles much????

I also try to avoid driving my vehicles when the roads are salted, which is less & less w/ Winter disappearing for whatever reason you believe.
