Based on the Bosch Spark Plug database fiche I have, the original VW parts fiche and ETKA, some (but not all) Wasserboxers of the 85 thru 91 vintage were supplied with tri-electrode Bosch W7DTC or WR7DTC plugs, which have a slightly longer reach. I've run them for years in my 2.1 84 Westy - no problems to report. Other replacement alternatives are Bosch W7CC0 (also OE) or Bosch W7CC, both of which are the standard single electrode. -- Jim Thompson 84 GL 1.9 "Gloria" 84 Westfalia 2.1 "Ole Putt" 73 K Ghia Coupe "Denise" 72 411 Station Wagon "Pug" oldvolkshome@gmail.com http://www.oldvolkshome.com *********************************** On 10/7/07, Rob <becida@comcast.net> wrote: > > I just took some plugs out to check them, they were Bosch Super and > had 3 of the adjustable prongs going to the center post. > I'd never seen them before but figured the gap would be the same but > 'even' for all 3 of them. > Any comments or education to pass on? > > > > Rob > becida@comcast.net
