Yup Ben. I am thinking of the expansion tank. Just thought the radiator might just drain down and back to the tank and a tube from the expansion tank to a container on the ground (even more low in relation to the radiator).

I'm also thinking that a small mechanical syphon or pump which can be bought on the internet or in a pet store where fish tank supplies are sold would work, if connected to one of the lines in the the engine compartment.

-------------- Original message -------------- From: benoit <huotb@videotron.ca> It would change nothing! the rad sit very high and enverything between the long coolant pipe will go out. What do you mean by "tube"? the long cooling pipe! By overflow you mean Expension tank? would it be open? It still won't change anything. The small difference would be to open the Expension tank because air could go IN and replace coolant! Still.... Ben

From: Benny boy huotb@VIDEOTRON.CA> A tap! so funny Gilles, yes most normal car have one but not VW. So to your question, no easy way. one of the hose that goes to the rad will need to be remove, slowly. Don't remove this one at the rad junction but at the pipe, it's a bit more easy and you won't get drown into coolant. Just use a big bucket. Good luck Ben
